Melaina is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer, and an Integrative/Functional Nutrition Health Coach. She holds a MS degree in human nutrition and is a graduate of Full Body Systems, a functional nutrition immersion program, as well as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a holistic health coach training program.
Drawing on her knowledge and experience in multiple practice settings including personal training, holistic wellness, as well as functional and clinical nutrition, Melaina will help you to create a completely personalized “road-map to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Melaina’s expertise in fitness and nutrition make her uniquely qualified to provide a comprehensive program for overall wellness. She specializes in health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the nutritional management of metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels — that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes), weight management, and GI disorders.
Melaina is an avid marathon runner and Ironman triathlete. She loves to cook and spend as much time as possible hiking in the woods with her husband and two dogs.
Amybeth is a professional chef specializing in plant-based nutrition. Her passion and enthusiasm for food, nutrition and empowering people to live their fullest lives drive her every day. She completed her training at the Natural Gourmet Institute (NGI) in New York City, a nationally accredited program teaching health-supportive culinary education. There, she studied whole foods dynamics, living foods, clinical nutrition, and cooking for people with illnesses. She considers herself a “veggie-centric” foodie.
“Chef AB” is passionate and enthusiastic about the study of nutrition. She strives to create delicious foods that heal, soothe, delight, and transform the body.
In addition, Amybeth attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for holistic health coaching and is dedicated to promoting healthy relationships with food, fitness, and a lifestyle of clean living. Other studies in holistic wellness include meditation, crystal and energy work and fermentation. Amybeth helps her clients to tie their core beliefs to the way they live their lives physically as well as spiritually so they can be in tune and aligned with their true selves.
Having faced her own health struggles, Amybeth has a special interest in mold illness, natural first aid/home remedies and brain health.
In her spare time, Amybeth is a marathon runner and triathlete, and regularly competes in the NYC Parks Department 25-mile swim challenge each summer. Her greatest athletic endeavor is keeping up with her very energetic five year old.
